Maureen Karle
I am the founder of Whelks Group with over two decades of valuable consulting experience with fortune 500 companies and universities. I am passionate about helping my students chart a clear path to college, through college and beyond. The journey begins in high school working with students to navigate the complexities of the application process and finding their best college fit. The journey continues on into college, where students' hone their leadership skills through on-going coaching to maximize their college experiences and achieve their goals.
I am a member of IECA (Independent Educational Consulting Association) and will earn my Independent Educational Consultant certificate from the University of California, Irvine in March 2024. I have a Master's in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning the James Bowdoin Scholar Award for distinguished scholarship, from Bowdoin College. I graduated from Kent School with distinction and was inducted in the Kent Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001 as the all time leading scorer for the women’s soccer team.
